Life After Georgia

Mountain View
Hiawassee Georgia

We spent one day driving to and around Lake Burton. We found it to be lovely. It reminded me of Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, which isn't really a surprise since that's also in the Ozarks.

The flowers and trees are beautiful in Georgia.

One pot Spanish Rice, camper style ;-)

Walking the cat, the easy way

We left Georgia to return to Lafayette, (hi Adah!) so we could visit Geisha's doctor and have her staples removed. She's all up to date and set for her next adventure.  Here's hoping she calms down a little. She's quite active!

On our way through Alabama we stopped for the night at a privately owned RV Park called Paynes, "Pick any place you like! We have lots of room", and they did too. We parked near a small pond populated by ducks and geese.

Crossing the Mighty Mississippi on our way to Lafayette, we saw a river boat as well as a Navy cruiser. One of these days we'll make a stop in New Orleans just to see river boats!

Staying again at the KOA in Scott, LA (outside Lafayette) was a pleasure. This time we arrived after a tropical storm and the heat and humidity gave us a slight break. The small lake was as beautiful as before and Larry had a good time feeding the local residents.

Our next stop... Northward! We're off to see Colorado, with a few fun stops on the way. Cooler weather, here we come (I hope).
